Business is like potty training; it is not over until the paperwork is done.

As I sit in meetings and hear reports and claims of sales and contracts; it amazes me that claims of victory come when there is no signed agreement. The problem is they think the process is complete when they get a verbal commitment but in reality that is when the work really begins because the “Devil is in the details!” When you go to contract is when the attorneys and executives get involved and it takes work to come to wording and exact terms that everyone will sign.
